Tasmania August 30 - September 4 2024

A trip to Tasmania with my girlfriend Chelsea and family - August 30 to September 4, 2024. My first time on a plane. Upon arriving in Tasmania, we encountered some wild weather, which continued throughout our stay, although we managed to avoid most of it. Strong winds were causing trouble in Tassie, leading to road closures that prevented us from reaching one of the trip's dream destinations: Cradle Mountain. For the first two days, we were with a small group on a bus tour, followed by a boat cruise on the Tamar River. Although the drivers had to alter the usual route, we still visited some amazing destinations. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we have already made plans to return and hopefully reach the mountain next time.

Legerwood

Not the main attraction of the area but a beautiful location nonetheless. Just behind me here is the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees. Where various scenes of WWI are carved by chainsaw into trees.

Bay of Fires

Clear blue waters and sand so white it looks like snow. Stunning. We had it all to ourselves

Storms in the area leading to some flooding, makes for a good photo at the waterfalls we could still get to

On and off showers. This was taken out the window of the tour bus, making battling some car sickness worth it.

No photography allowed on the inside, but a great tour and looks the part from the outside anyway.
